A great place to stop, third time we have visited, we keep returning for the lovely assortment of cakes, the coffee and good service. Idealy situated to visit Zennor church or a short walk to the coast. We will be back in We popped in last season whilst doing our annual south west coastal path walk and were all rather impressed at the changes undertaken after what seemed to be new management and a rebranding of the business.
Taking this into account we looked forward to some improvements once again for what seemed to be a growing business. Unfortunately this was not the case. We walked into the grounds to be greeted by a grunt from a young blonde staff member smoking on the front bench, who then carelessly threw his cigarette end into the flower pot and walked in just after us. Upon entering we noticed the manager on his phone in the kitchen door who took a significant amount of time to even acknowledge our existence.
Choosing to ignore this we looked through the menu very pricey! The cheese was rubbery and bland, minimal amount put between the thick ciabatta and accompanied by a minuscule portion of chutney. One paper this sliver of ham on the other sandwich and dijon mustard nice touch but need more ham. The ploughmans was also an issue.
Half a handful of leaves, mimimal chutney again, relatively nice pate, no fruit, a few small slices of bread and two of the smallest slivers of cheese we had ever seen. Are all the ingredients home made? Are they flown in on express delivery? There is no justification for the prices at all. Upon querying this with the young man at the till we were simply told "boss sets the prices, sorry" This is hardly good customer service at all.
Our advice would be go back to last years standard.Kerala population 2020 district wise
Or even mid summer up until september, the reviews seem good there. The cream teas looked OK but only plain scones uncovered. People seemed happy with them though. Two of our group received different answers when questioning about the cakes. One was told home made and one was told bought in from a factory in north cornwall.
Wouldn't go out of our way to stop people coming but certainly won't return any time soon ourselves. Also, customers still have to pay for parking Stayed for 2 nights' bed and breakfast whilst walking and this characterful property is conveniently located just off the coastpath midway between Pendeen and St Ives.We were freezing!
The arched church-windows are very difficult to open and close, but look fantastic and offer lovely views over the fields where the rabbits play at dawn and dusk. Food itself very good though. Stayed here on our first night walking the South West Coastal Path. We were welcomed in a nice though smallish room.
Room had a lovely view over the garden and sea beyond. Bathroom was very small as was the washbasin and showercubicle. The silicone paste around the showercubicle was not very clean and definitely needs to be replaced.
The creamtea which we had was very nice. We were asked to fill in our breakfast requirements for the next morning. I want to sit down in the morning and then decide what I want to eat. But the breakfast we got was very nice I must admit.
The packed lunch we asked for was not to our expectations. We would have expected a freshly made roll instead off yesterdays. Definitely NOT what to do with your guests!!!!! I was in zennor to collect a group of walkers. It was somewhere I had never been but will defiantly return. The tea room is a little jewel. It may not look much from the outside but the inside was beautiful. We enjoyed some light refreshments of tea and cake and hot chocolate.
All were reasonably priced and very delicious. The staff were very helpful and brought everything to the table. Perfect visit, look forward to my next. My coffee and cake very good, but best of all was the lovely warm welcome. I will definitely go again if I am in the area. Friendly staff, great location, lovely conversion but all spoiled by some mean business practices!
However friendly staff and a fantastic airy feel made up for the apparent misjudgements in their charging model!
Someone needs to tell the owner what they're in business for. We came to Zennor by chance and we had a drink in the cafe. It is very cosy and inviting. The cafe has a nice outside sitting area and free wifi too. We arrived here at about four having walked from St Ives. The room was blissfully cosy and warm and we headed over to the Tinners where we spent the evening. A fab place to stay, excellent location we had sea views and so close to the pub. This place is fantastic value for money compared to other band bs in Zennor. Called here today to have lunch the homity pie was very nice although they could be a bit more generous with the portions, my wife had soup which was also very nice.
Lovely little place with an excellent cream tea - the scones were so fluffy and tasty. There is also a charming little shop offering beautiful home made items bags, etc. There is a car park right next door and dogs are welcome too :. Skip to main content. I was served by an extremely friendly smiley girl, who had a fabulous, warm mannerism and a really great sense of humour The other girl, who was slightly smaller Disa I think I heard had a lovely smile and made my friend and the yummiest cappuccino! I will definitely be returning and will be making many recommendations!

Thank you zennor guesthouse! The girls at the counter were very friendly and took our order fast, coffees tasted especially good.Walch laundry sanitizer review
The tattooed man taking food and drinks we think maybe supervisor or assistant as he was checking in guests and on the work phone too was also extremely kind and went out of his way taking time out to show us how to get back onto the coastal path and helped with wifi issues also.
He then showed us a couple of the rooms as my friend was interested and they look amazing. The real problem was the cook. From what we saw he spend most of his time leaning on the kitchen table on his phone shouting to the other staff to do dishes when they were very busy with a queue.
Other customers looked upset but did not say anything as he was occasionally carrying food to tables. Looked stressed and confused shouting at one customer for him getting the order wrong. They had an apology from staff but we felt we all needed one as this is not acceptable for someone that work in hospitality. Everything else is lovely but for one man to ruin a visit is very bad.Proses Terkini Jalur Lintas Selatan Blitar
Would try return as we are doing the coastal path again next year but if he is there we may go elsewhere as we think others also would. Other staff are a credit to your business. Sadly we were ignored for a considerable time even though there were 4 staff at the counter at the time, a group chinwag seemed more important than our simple needs, we finally get served, place our order and wait expectantly, 20 minutes pass and still no food, how long does it take to make a sandwich?
Sadly the staff had forgotten us and it took a complaint before they even started to make them. When they arrived the quality was good, though the price was very steep so I expected them to be 5 star, this was a nice place spoilt by overpricing and poorly trained staff, other people coming in were likewise treated with indifference, if I were the boss here I would be kicking a few backsides. Fifteen years ago I spent a night here in a room with three Italians My room was a lovely double ensuite with a cracking view down the valley to the sea.
The ensuite shower room wasnot huge but was fine for doing what you need to do. I ate at The Tinners Arms and as I was leaving early the next morning they kindly did me a takeaway breakfast bag for the coast path Hopefully won't leave it another 15 years until I return. A very comfortable converted chapel in Zennor minutes from the Tinners pub at Zennor. Great quality food in the downstairs cafe. Arrival after hours when the cafe is closed is a simple matter as the staff live close by and can drop in quickly if needed.
Very handy for the SW Coast Path. We have often eaten here after walking but this year the quality of food and service seems to have dipped somewhat. Portion size has taken a hit, several menu choices weren't available. The place and facilities were very clean and well cared-for, though.

We asked a lady about accommodation and she was kind enough to show us the rooms, which appeared to be spotlessly clean and spacious. Will return soon and maybe even stay a night in the bunkhouse. I was staying over during part of my coastal expedition around Cornwall, and this hostel was probably the best one I stayed at all trip.
A beautiful little village a few minutes off the coast path with a great pub next door. I would loved to have stayed longer but I had to get back to up country for work. Friendly, clean, with a relaxed atmosphere and great homemade food I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting to a decent hostel to stay at. I stayed here during my coastal walk, i arrived a little after 4 and was able to check in immediately. The rooms were spotless, and perfect to get a good nights sleep.
I stopped at the cafe for cream tea after doing part of the coastal walk. The building and garden looked very welcoming and relaxed. The tea and coffee was lovely.Recibidor negro de madera
The scones were flat and Well, not the best. Should have had the Victoria Sponge! The first thing that comes to mind when reviewing the old chapel backpackers is the value for money.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, particularly the manager Kerry, who goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Breakfast was an additional extra, but extremely cheap considering what you get. A stay that i couldn't recommend enough to people, i will be back! Was planning to stay for one night but loved it so much. A very peaceful clean friendly place that is half the price of b and b.
We were walking around the coast but found it easy to get back to hostel each night with the open top bus, which runs an excellent service all day, be sure to get a day or week pass as its most economical.Kolonyalismo kahulugan at epekto
